*  The Tofs

Formed in 2020 when fellow teachers Mark McKinnon and Tony
Smith began playing with the idea of creating a duo based on a
mutual passion for vocal harmony and the acoustic format.
Promising rehearsals were sidelined due to the pandemic and when
they finally got to play in 2022, a member of the audience
approached them with an interest in adding bass to the mix. With
the addition of Peter Lewis’ fretless bass the duo became a trio.
The TOFS play an eclectic mix of popular covers from the ’60’s
onwards including songs from the Beatles, Stones, Joe Cocker, Paul
Kelly, U2, Steve Harley, Sam and Dave, Tracey Chapman, Van
Morrison, Chris Isaak, Diesel, Blur, Bonnie Raitt, The Band and many
others.
The TOFS are ‘Three Old Farts Singing’!
Mark McKinnon acoustic guitar and vocals
Tony Smith acoustic/electric guitar and vocals
Peter Lewis fretless bass and vocals

*  Tip The Hat

Tip The Hat returns to the mountain on 25 May, with a new line-up.
Tip The Hat is a three piece blues-rock band comprising Len Newman, guitar and vocals; Mick Field, bass; and, Stan Kadlo, drums.
The band members’ extensive experience comes from innumerable pub and club gigs across the country, including sharing the stage with many of Australia’s top acts. Len also brings his experience of working in bands in the UK.
The band’s name acknowledges the masters whose music makes up their repertoire and they deliver tight up tempo tunes.

The rock outcrop situated in front of the kiosk forms a natural pool which is said to have once been a sacred birthing place for women.
The Mountain now gives birth to many new beginnings as the hub of creative community arts in the southern Central Coast region.
Emerging musicians and artists are given an opportunity to perform and to network, to try new ideas and to expose their talents to a very supportive and appreciative audience in a setting that is far removed from a smoky pub or noisy club. Rather, amidst the bushland atop a beautiful mountain, in tune with a supportive community with natures blessings.

Venue Information - Kincumba Mountain

Our Brackets South event takes place on top of beautiful Kincumba Mountain. The community built venue is a mud brick and natural timber building which sits in a bushland reserve, with panoramic views of Brisbane water and magnificent sunsets over the hills beyond.

This venue is the birthplace of Brackets and Jam on the Central Coast and the community considers it as it's spiritual home. The Mountain itself holds a strong significence for our Aboriginal community, and has been a long standing meeting place for Central Coast people. The rock outcrop situated infront of the kiosk forms a natural pool which is said to have once been a sacred birthing place for women.

Emerging musicians and artists are given an opportunity to perform and to network, to try new ideas and to expose their talents to a very supportive and appreciative audience in a setting that is far removed from a smoky pub or noisy club. Rather under a full moon and starry skies amidst the bushland atop a beautiful mountain, in tune with a supportive community with natures blessings.
