A drum circle is a great way for a community to come together, and to celebrate life.

Djembeat is an open weekly community drum circle that takes place on Kincumber Mountain in the Kiosk. Anyone is welcome and all you need is a drum or percussion instrument to join in. It's also a great place to try hand drumming and percussion, spare drums can be organised if you want to give it a try - Dancers are also - bring your glow toys!

"Djembeat" is a combination of the words "Djembe", the main type of african drum that we use and "beat" for obvious reasons. We meet every Thursday Night @ 8.00pm - 10.00pm on Kincumba Mtn on the Central Coast of NSW Australia in the Mud Brick Kiosk. The night is mainly for drummers however dancers are always welcome. We refer to our unique style of Drumming as "Mountain Drumming", a fusion of many styles from rock, middle eastern, latin and african all improvised and impromtu. Djembeat is a regular meeting of like minded drummers to learn and share rhythms which happens all year round.

Our aim is to nurture and develop the drumming community in a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone is welcome.

Every Thursday evening 8.00pm - 10pm - $5 donation to cover room hire tea and coffee included.
