Niksta lr chopped Ps2Niksta known as Nicole Keipert is a dedicated, talented & professional musician. She is not your average singer-songwriter strumming a guitar or tickling the ivories. There’s a quiet yet tensile strength and diversity of musical palette that says she knows exactly who she is & what she’s worth. Her sound is traditional, appealing to a wide audience with her acoustically – based soulful resonance.

Niksta has honed her style by gigging all of Australia, singing with her acoustic guitar, sometimes with a band to broaden the appeal from the Gympie Muster to busking at the golden guitars at Tamworth. Audiences have been picking up on Niksta’s honest delivery telling her stories in song.

Niksta has supported acts like IOTA, Victor Martinez, Mark Seymour (Hunters and Collectors), Richard Clapton, Xavier Rudd, Johnny Diesel, David Campbell, Dirty Lucy and Chris Wilson & the Spidermen, James Reyne, Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons, Pete Murray, Jenny Morris, Sons of Korah, The Topp Twins, Monique Brumby, Ian Moss, Marcia Hines and Eugene Hideaway Bridges, John Stone, Wanita – Queen of Honky Tonk and Travis List.

Niksta has released four albums “My Moments” and new release “Schade” and “Floggin a Dead Horse” and “Virginia” which are available at all record stores, distributed through MGM and now on itunes.

Music City Roots Nashville….”Niksta.  I won’t get into the whole bizarre story of how the guys discovered her playing on the street, because it involved bare boobs and a police officer. But the real point is that she has a voice that reminded us of Bonnie Raitt, and she offered a sultry and crafty cover of “It’s A Long Way To The Top If You Want To Rock And Roll,” which I’m pretty sure we’ve never had on Roots before.

Video clips: Long way to the top   &   Dodging bullets

Niksta was nominated in 2016 Australian Independent Music Awards in the category of Roots and Blues with her song “Stomp”. At Tamworth Country music festival 2017 she won the National talent quest for best female senior vocals in the Capital country music association awards.

Our Brackets South event takes place on top beautiful Kincumba Mountain. The community built venue is a mud brick and natural timber building which sits in a bushland reserve, with panoramic views of Brisbane water and magnificent sunsets over the hills beyond.

This venue is the birthplace of Brackets and Jam on the Central Coast and the community considers it as it's spiritual home. The Mountain itself holds a strong significance for our Aboriginal community and has been a long-standing meeting place for Central Coast people. The rock outcrop situated in front of the kiosk forms a natural pool which is said to have once been a sacred birthing place for women. The Mountain now gives birth to many new beginnings as the hub of creative community arts in the southern Central Coast region.
